Looking for a Senior Patent Associate

- Build strategic patent portfolios for a reputed multinational by preparing & filing high quality patent applications and office action responses for inventions in engineering fields.

The position is located in Bangalore.

What are my responsibilities :

- Review invention disclosures and prepare high-quality patent applications of a standard acceptable to the Indian Patent Office and also action responses for existing patent applications

- Assist in maximizing the intellectual property (IP) potential of technical disclosures, and developing strategic IP assets

- Interacting with inventors as well as Legal colleagues at various global locations

- Additionally, depending on experience level, the responsibilities include mentoring and coaching other patent agents in the team.

What do I need to qualify for this job :

- The candidate should have a valid Indian Patent Office registration and be able to file in Indian Patent office as a registered patent agent.

- Masters / PhD in the technical disciplines of Computer Science / Electrical / Electronic along with relevant IP experience (patent drafting and prosecution).

- Undergraduate degree and significant (7+years) industry experience will also be considered

- A minimum of 4 years experience in drafting patent applications and responding to office actions is essential for this role.

- Past experience of mentoring and / reviewing patent applications and responses written by other colleagues will be considered an asset.
