What is the Senior Multi-Asset Analyst responsible for? - The Capital Market Group partners with investment management teams globally to augment their capacity by delivering high-quality top-down research support. - Reporting into Global Marketing Services, the team contributes to a variety of external-use publications. Research developed to support and communicate investment views are easily leveraged for re-publication in presentations, topic papers, and other external-use communications. - Working independently, receiving minimal guidance only in the most complex situations, utilizes specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in financial analysis discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within a function to perform and communicate results of original research and analysis based on the capital market, economic market, capital/sales flow, and product/portfolio data. - Leads teams of other analysts on lower complexity research projects. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Multi- Asset Analyst? Research & Analysis : - Independently develops custom research solutions and leads to significant research projects. Frequently provides direction to junior staff. - Develops research practices across the department and potentially influences company/industry best practice. Relationship Management/Consulting : - Organizes and communicates viewpoints, analyses, and business activities to business partners. - Develops internal and external relationships. - Serves as the representative of the team internally on multiple initiatives, including those that are likely to be complex that require cross-departmental involvement, or are a high priority. Leadership : - Develops and shares specialized expertise in the assigned asset class and/or analytics discipline. - Works with other teams to understand their point of view, socializes an expanded point of view, and leverages significant influence over other teams to adopt new research methodologies or processes. - Trains and coaches team members. May have formal responsibility for other team members on an assignment basis. What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? - More than 8+ years of multi-asset investment research experience. - CFA Charter holder or equivalent. - Graduate degree in economics, finance, or mathematics. - Expert skill using common statistical programming tools (ex. R, Python, SQL, Excel, Alteryx, MATLAB, etc.). - Expert skill using data sources and research platforms most often used by investment research professionals (ex. Macrobond, Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar Direct) - Capital Market (Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Real Assets, Etc.) Analysis. - Alternative Strategies & Manager Evaluation. - Portfolio Management & Wealth Planning Analysis. - Verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with an emphasis on communicating research conclusions to a variety of audiences.
