Senior Manager - HR Business Partner - IT (10-15 yrs)

POSITION : HR Business Partner

LOCATION : Bangalore, India

Job Summary :

- Typically serves as an advisory to business unit(s) employees and management, providing insight and possible business solutions across a range of HR areas including organizational design, resource and talent planning, employee development, performance and reward, employee engagement and retention, employee relations or other COE-driven programs

- Participates as a group lead on broad, global HR initiatives; or may independently lead smaller scale, local HR projects

Organization design :

- Actively considers future organizational requirements and recommends plans to evolve the organization, helping managers identify and address current gaps

- Provides input to change management plans/procedures; implements organizational changes based on feedback from business unit(s) management

Resourcing and Talent planning :

- Provides input to business unit(s) staffing plan and maintains awareness of whether staffing goals are being achieved

- In partnership with management, ensure that recruiting goals are met.

- Implements initiatives aligned to acquiring talent; may interview key talent

- Encourages managers to support organization's diversity goals

Employee Development :

- Identifies individual and group development needs

- May develop and conduct sessions for employees and senior managers on a variety of HR subjects

- Program and Process Management

- Works with business unit(s) to roll-out programs and provide feedback, advice, and support to maximize program effectiveness

Culture and Engagement Driving culture :

- Partners with business unit(s) management on ways to engage employees

- Understands Employer Brand proposition and looks for ways to increase awareness of this for managers and employees

Employee Relations :

- Resolves most types of employee relations issues; advises senior management on options for resolutions including interpretation of relevant HR policies; Assesses risk and creates mitigation plan where necessary

- Coaches managers to resolve complex employee relations issues and conflicts

- Regional - Participates in developing and rolling out updates to policies, practices and benefits plans

Job Scope :

- Responsible for supporting several business units or countries

- Work and decision-making is performed with limited direction; exercises latitude in determining approaches to work

- Decisions typically impact the assigned business unit(s)

- Develops and builds partnerships with managers, leaders and internal and external partners to manage HR programs and change within the assigned business unit(s)

Knowledge/Skills and capabilities :

- Ability to influence management decisions

- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, procedures and applicable employment law

- Experience of designing and implementing the sales comp plans

- Well versed with statutory compliance employment laws under the labor laws

- Experience of dealing with labor office will be an added advantage

- Solid understanding of HR processes and business objectives, products, services and customers

- Leverages knowledge of human behavior and motivation to understand issues and their potential implications

- Understands programs and leverages business/HR knowledge to effectively implement existing programs within their client group

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. May possess well-developed influencing skills

- Ability to develop and deliver presentation materials.


- MSW / MBA HR with minimum 10+ years of HR experience;

- Experience working as HR Business Partner;
