Job Description :
Role Purpose : Mid Office - Regulatory & Internal Compliance; Regulatory, Shareholder & Internal Reporting, Balance Sheet Reporting (Investments)and Risk and performance analysis
The responsibilities of the candidate will as below :
Investment Risk and Performance Monitoring :
- Responsible for monitoring of Investment performance
- Responsible for Performance attribution of Investment Portfolios
- Reporting on movement of prices.
- Responsible for validation of Fund Performance v/s the Benchmark and Peers
- Review of Investment newsletter sent to Policyholders
- Risk assessment of new asset classes like AIF, unlisted equity, Invts, Reits, AT1 bonds, derivatives etc
- Compliance and review of Investment Policy, SOP and other Policies
- Monitoring of Regulatory Compliance of Investment pattern and exposure
- Monitoring of Limits set by Investment Committee
- Actively participate in new policy formation
- Review and update of the existing policies on on-going basis to ensure best practices and regulatory changes are incorporated
- Review and update of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as per industry best practices and regulatory changes
- Provide Impact assessment of new guidelines to management and ensure implementation of the same
Timely reporting of all Regulatory, Share Holders & Internal :
- Ensure Timely and accurate delivery of the IRDA Investment returns, Balance sheet disclosures and other stake holders reporting
- Ensure timely Internal reporting Including ULIP disclosures, Public disclosures and Financial
- Provide support in preparation of TIG and IC deck and other investment related matters presented in board/other forums
Implementation of Ind AS :
- Setting up investment accounting policies and processes in line with new Ind AS
- Business model assessment for classification and SPPI testing of investments
- Ensure smooth transition of annual disclosures, systems and processes as per new Ind AS
- Ensure accurate modeling of effective interest, Expected credit loss, Loss given default
- Drafting of accounting policies as per new IND AS
- Ensure testing of system for new developments and patches
- Work closely with consultant, team and other stake holders to ensure smooth implementation as new Ind AS
Product and Actuarial Support :
- To support new product launches under existing and new business lines by providing inputs on Investment related processes
- Support to Products team / Actuarial team in respect to Investment guidelines and permitted asset classes for new lines of business
- Finalization and support in Accounting policies, accounting opinion and process set-ups for new products and review of existing products
- Close monitoring of Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and ensure no deficit.
Monitoring Liquidity Risk :
- Provide support for Liquidity Adequacy Assessment
- Provide support in Monitoring and reporting of Liquidity Risk dashboard
- BCP / DR Plan and Support to BRCM
- Support Risk team in framing BCP / DR plan for the Investment Mid and Back Office functions
- Support in periodic testing at alternative site / DR site
- Support to functional Business Risk & Control Manager (BRCM) in indentifying, mitigating and monitoring all key risks within the function
- Support in Risk and Control assessment and Internal Control Monitoring Plan (ICMP) testing
Audits & Inspections :
- IRDA inspection
- Statutory audit, internal audit, concurrent audit and C&AG audits
- Risk Management Systems Audit
- External and compliance reviews
- Ensure timely provision of data to all Auditors and smooth closure of Audit of Investment Function
System Testing :
- Ensure timely implementation of system changes related to regulations changes in Investment system
- Ensure through testing all patches related to Middle Office like limit changes and regulatory returns etc
Relationship Management :
- Strong professional relationship with industry peers
- Managing strong working relations with other functions
