About the Role This individual will lead a group responsible for various trade validation and reconciliation activities, processing of payment wires, validating and monitoring of monthly accrual accounting, performing G/L research and preparation and posting of journal entries, and preparation of FINRA Financial Reporting. The role involves close work with specialists in other accounting operations groups, enterprise risk, and enterprise technology. The ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate effectively is an asset. This individual is a significant contributor to the team's objectives to improve the data quality and the efficiency of the external reporting processes. They will lead training initiatives, act as a product knowledge resource, and coordinate closely with other operational accounting functions and compliance teams across the organization. In addition, this individual will be the primary point of contact for business units on various projects and will be responsible for recruiting, retaining and developing talented team members through continuous coaching and allocation of work assignments. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple deliverables at one-time, can prioritize and communicate effectively, and is able to work to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a changing environment.

Responsibilities :

- Directly manage/supervise/mentor teams and foster team work

- Maintain & improve team morale and motivation

- Support in process expansion, staffing and new hire training

- Assist on any transitions

- Take a lead role in developing and implementing best practices

- Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures

- Develop metrics to measure growth and performance of the department

- Analyze and interpret complex data and create Business MIS

- Identify visible/not-so-visible patterns and connections in data/scenarios for the processes related to one's environment

- See visible links between various issues and scenarios in immediate area of work with guidance

- Communicate well with US counterparts in virtual environment and build relationship with business partners (internal & external stakeholders)

- Conduct business / performance reviews

- Connect with LOB partners on conference calls/understand updates etc.

- Escalate any problems resolving exceptions, issues or delays in a timely manner to Supervisor and stateside partners, as applicable

- Develop team members for next roles in the hierarchy

- Delegate tasks, continuously learn from the environment and support peers/TMs

- Initiate production/quality projects (six sigma/kaizen) for improving performance of the section

- Seek intense learning experiences through formal means

Essential Qualifications

- 12 to 14 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, audit / accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting.

- Candidates must be a Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA/CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and FINRA Series 7 and 99 certified
