Job Description: Technical Superintendent - Break bulk carrier (Class 1 marine Engineer)

Client :

Our Client is an integrated Shipping & logistics multinational, headquartered in India.

Reports to : COO Mumbai

Role :

- Dealing with any damage repairs preserving vessels commercial competence and originating long-term corrective/preventive actions in order to avoid re occurrence.

Nature & Scope :

- Dealing with any damage repairs preserving vessels commercial competence and originating long-term corrective/preventive actions in order to avoid re occurrence.

- Commercial understanding of the ships Operations. Instructing, coordinating and monitoring works/repairs.

- Implementing machinery and hull performance monitoring in the context of long-term vessels- operational costs savings.

Key Behavioral Competencies :

- The candidate must have thorough knowledge of all industry standards like ISM / ISPS / MLC, Class and Flag state regulations.

- Must be Technically Sound and should have Knowledge for the preparation of Dry docking of the vessels.

- Able to work independently and as a team player with initiative and integrity.

- Candidate should have experience of working as technical manager of a ship; ideally as a technical superintendent.

Qualification & Experience :

- Ministry of Transport Certification (Class 1 Marine Engineer (Motor ship).

- Overall 10 plus years of experience of which minimum of 2 years of sailing as a Chief Engineer on Bulk Carrier.
