Sr. Manager - Taxation - Gurgaon

Work Responsibilities: Taxation (Direct and Indirect Tax) - Subject Matter Expert

- Responsible for Tax accounting

- Responsible for Tax strategy/ planning

- Preparation of Tax (Direct and Indirect Tax) returns

- Preparation of Tax refunds application.

- Preparation/ review of tax provisions

- Thorough understanding of financial statements and group company transactions

- Providing updates to executives/ leaders

- Ensuring Ledger scrutiny

- Reconciliation of Tax accounts/ Tax credits

- Assistance in filing of replies to various notices issued by the Tax authorities.

- Tax related Documentation, maintain organized and up-to-date records of Tax transactions.

- Handling Tax officer queries, audits, and assessments.

- Responsible for calculation of Tax liability payments

- Calculation of Effective Tax rate

- Ensuring the books of accounts are updated and reconciled as per statutory returns.

- Assistance in tax audits and Statutory audits

- Enhancement of control environment

- Key risks identification, prioritisation, monitoring and remediation

- Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together.

- Assistance in process improvement, automation etc.

- Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situation.

- Discussing critical issues with partners and ensuring proper implementation of decisions taken

- Mentoring/ training/ guiding juniors

- Responsible for the management of team through performance development and crafting environment of continuous improvement.

- Identify new service offering opportunities.

- Adhoc Tasks

- Should be able to manage adhoc requests in timely manner.

Experience:

- In-depth knowledge of above-mentioned responsibilities

- Chartered Accountant with 10-12 years of working experience in Corporate Tax function

- Practical experience of working in Tax

- Experience in International Taxation is preferred.
