Supply & Planning - Grocery Category (Senior Manager)

The SM2- Planning contributes to success by providing strategic direction to SCM planning team.

The position reports to the Director-Planning. Together with the team he would work closely with the cross functional teams in line with Growth, Service and Efficiency goals. 

He should typically:

1. Set strategic direction for inventory management in line with business growth strategies.

2. Able to develop constructive and effective relationships with direct report team and cross-functional partners; able to maintain credibility and presence within the broader business.

3. Ensure end to end supply chain is linked between the Company and External & Internal partners and Customers. Partner with other Internal and External partners to drive continuous improvement on Business Operations processes.

4. Drives inventory plans with the stakeholder team using a scientific Inventory Domain expertise resulting in the development, communication, and execution of inventory plans that achieve financial goals at product categorical levels.

5. Communicates periodic inventory position to stakeholders and re-forecast in-season/recurring open-to-buy plans based on weekly, monthly and seasonal performance and provide recommendations that improve inventory productivity to maximize Cash Flow, InStock and Service.

6. Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to employees in order to achieve department, company and customer results.

7. Establishes and maintains visibility within the department and with Stakeholders and influencing them factually using Science of supply chain planning

8. Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action.

9. Leverage expert knowledge, research to establish, implement and maintain best practices methodologies for inventory management.

1. Expert Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain process in a multi-channel distributed Supply Chain environment

2. Strong belief in how Technology can solve problems in scalable way and clear bias in use of systems daily

3. Needs to have knowledge of industry best practices for analytics and inventory management processes and how they support the long range inventory strategy.

Qualifications :

1. PGDM/MBA degree from Top 10 B School

2. Amazing Problem solving, analytical ability with strong business acumen

3. Great strategic thinker, strong communicator, and confident decision-maker that is able to partner and influence

4. Comfortable handling huge complex data sets in disparate systems and cutting edge tools to derive insights and recommendations
