Senior Manager - Strategy - Law Firm - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS (5-9 yrs)

We are looking for someone to be a part of a team which is responsible for :

- Driving business development efforts for the wider Firm

- Being repository of relevant market intelligence

- Enhancing Firm's branding and profile with efficient internal and external communication

Key Responsibility Areas :

The incumbent will be the primary BD contact point for Kolkata office and expected to :

1. Support all domestic client development activity across Practices in the Kolkata office focusing primarily on East and Central India including :

- Sharing market intelligence

- Research on industry and business trends

- Preparation of client pitches

- Collation/preparation of appropriate marketing collateral

- Follow up with relationship teams on meeting/telecon minutes and takeaways and ensure updated contacts database and visiting cards are submitted for all new clients and business contacts

- Digitally tracking engagement with select clients to monitor performance and progress

- Co-ordination of internal activities to efficiently deliver on all above

2. Closely engage with trade bodies, industry associations, high commissions, multiplier agencies and intermediaries :

- Maintain list of top agencies that would be relevant for our promotion as a law firm and keep a close tab on events, conferences, webinars proposed

- Ensure good representation of KCO on prime committees and delegations

- Make recommendations on participation and sponsorship proposals

- Curate strategy to optimize our presence at events with prime speaker slots and branding

Competencies :

- Commercial bent to convert leads into actionable sale of legal services

- Proactive ability to develop leads and opportunities to meet and connect with clients

- Ability to interact, challenge and influence credibly at senior levels

- Autonomy and ability to run and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time

- Ability to create and maintain efficient tracking tools to pursue business leads

Education and prior experience :

- (M.B.A), preferably in business or project management from a tier I college and prior experience in a professional services firm is a must.
