Senior Manager - Strategic Initiatives - NBFC (1-3 yrs)

Qualifications Required

- MBA with 1-3 years experience/ CA / CA+CS /CA+CFA

- Preferably (relevant experience in) investment banking/ consulting/ MNC / Bank

Objectives :

- To take responsibility for the identification & execution of specific strategic initiatives in order to achieve the overall objectives of diversification, asset management and return on equity (RoE).

- To support the execution (evaluation & implementation) of new concepts/ Strategic Initiatives/ Business Models - these could include any/ some/ all of the following:

1. Single/ Multiple new Business Models - Alternative Investment Funds (AIF)/ Investment Trust / Overseas financing vehicles / Feeder Fund structures

2. Equity investment by external investors in a - Yieldco or a portfolio of operating assets

- To contribute towards conceptualization & development of structured (financial) products, with the overall objective of optimizing returns and matching cash flow requirements.

Activities:

- Understanding the regulation & taxation aspect of financial services

- Understanding equity valuation metrics & methods

- To coordinate with international consultants (Taxation, International Law)

- Preparing the Financial Model for the new Business Model/ financial structuring to optimize RoE

- Preparing the Business Plan for the Board of Directors for seeking approval for the new Business

- To support Group Head in developing the policy framework for the new business/ entity

- To support negotiations with investors (domestic and international) for accessing funds

- Understanding the regulation & requirements of law for innovative financial products (i.e. Companies Act, Income Tax Act, RBI/ SEBI/ IRDA/ PFRDA guidelines)

- Understanding of the working of hedging products/ options / FRAs & their pricing & limitations

- Understanding the requirements of the credit rating of innovative products

- Ability to negotiate term sheets (with investors) and credit ratings (with rating agencies) wrt the above products

Other Requirements:

- Experience of responsibility with respect to initiating, negotiating and executing/ closing term sheets

- Ability to network at diverse levels

- The diverse experience of working across groups/locations

- Understanding of regulations / regulatory guidelines/ Business Plans

- In-depth understanding/expertise wrt at least 1 PPP / Infra sectors

- Understanding/experience of structuring financial products / innovative thinking

- Understanding the larger / big picture/objectives & strategic issues associated with new initiatives

- Good communication skills
