Senior manager - Sourcing & Production - Apparel (3-10 yrs)

One of our clients is looking for a candidate to manage sourcing for an apparel brand through outsourced vendors. Below are some of the job requirements as well as the skills required for this job.

Key job requirements -

1. The candidate should have prior experience of at-least 3 years working in the sourcing unit of a brand or export house.

2. The candidate shall be well versed with production & audit terminologies of the apparel/textile industry.

3. The candidate shall have hands-on expense in managing factories/production units and deliver as per the merchandiser's requirement.

4. The Candidate should have hands-on experience in on-boarding new factories through careful selection on a set of audit principals of the company.

5. The candidate should take the end to end responsibility of ensuring that the garment has been made as per the specs of the designer and there are no last minute surprises.

6. The candidate should have the maturity to handle unforeseen delays at the factory level & communicate the same internally to minimise losses.

7. Prior experience in working with international factories is an added plus.

Ideal candidate should have the following skillset -

1. The Candidate should be a self starter and be able to take up initiatives for the betterment of the company

2. The Candidate should have some experience in handling a team and motivating it.

3. The Candidate should her great interpersonal skills.

4. The Candidate should have prior relationships with buying houses & factories.

5. The Candidate should be someone who has attention to detail and a penchant for excellence.
