Senior Manager - SAS/Hadoop/Python

Hadoop :

1. Collaborate with Product Owners (PO), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Developers to understand the customer needs and translate that into acceptance criteria and test plans.

2. The role provides an exciting opportunity to roll out a new strategic initiative within the firm- Enterprise Infrastructure Big Data Service. The Big Data Developer serves as a development and support expert with responsibility for the design, development, automation, testing, support and administration of the Enterprise Infrastructure Big Data Service.

3. The roles require experience with both Hadoop and Kafka. This will involve building and supporting a real time streaming platform

4. A minimum of 4 years experience

5. Must have worked on Big Data platforms (Vanilla Hadoop, Cloudera or Hortonworks)

6. Preferred: Experience with Scala or python

7. Be eager to learn new approaches and technologies

8. Strong programming skills

9. Background in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics or equivalent

10. Preferred: Experience with some of the following: Apache Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Oozie, ZooKeeper, MongoDB, CouchbaseDB, Impala, Kudu, Linux, Bash, version control tools, continuous integration tools

SAS, Banking : 

- 5 years of banking experience.

- Has worked in a credit risk environment within acquisitions/existing customer management.

- The role will support strategy development for credit card portfolio

- Mathematical / statistical background.

- Strong SAS analytics and programming skills

- MS Office skills: Excel (Advance, including pivot tables, and macro), Word and PowerPoint (intermediate).

- MI report development and assisting with other ad hoc reporting requirements

- High-level attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
