Job Description :


- The position will be responsible for devising and executing a sales strategy for capturing the long tail of customers in the e-commerce industry. The job involves intrinsic planning for devising market combing strategies to ensure penetration of the organisation across categories/ segments/ industries in the E-commerce world.

Our client is one of the most successful start ups in the Indian Logistics Industry. They have been in operations for almost a decade now and have been very quick to capture the the domestics transportation and integrated logistics services industry.

The company has established its presence in the industry due to a differentiated business model which is built on delivery service capability, scalability, customisation and sustainability. It has a wide presence across all Indian states and service majority of the geography of the country.

Description :

The key responsibilities of this position will be :

- Working on the market penetration strategies, with focus on the depth across the long tail customers of the industry

- Working for tie ups with enablers, cross industries to initiate sustainable partnerships


- Innovating for better and leaner handling of the Long Tail customer segment, work on technology enabled tools


- Primary focus on Revenue Growth from the handled portfolio


- Handling a team of Inside Sales to focus on outbound/ inbound calling for generation and on boarding of leads and customers


- Retaining and growing the existing base of business as per the targets set by the organisation for the month/ quarter/ year


- Identifying new business opportunities, Up Selling / Cross Selling through telecommunication


Profile :

A successful candidate for this position will have :

- Extensive experience of sales and marketing working in the domestic logistics and express logistics industry for the last 5-8 Years

- Understanding of the Indian Logistics landscape with a history of growth oriented performance


- Worked with well established players in the domestic logistics and express industry


- An MBA in Sales and Marketing from an institute of repute (Tier 1/2)


- Experience of handling a team in the sales function


- A Strategic bent of mind that can work around ways to device solutions and lead to multiple closures


- Excellent business development acumen with a history of meeting and overshooting targets
