Senior Manager - Risk Analytics

Global Analytics Holdings is an analytics-driven financial services company with an intense focus on serving the underbanked consumer and assisting businesses reach the underbanked consumer. We use world class analytics, software, and a deep understanding of data to provide a range of financial services products to underbanked consumers that do not have adequate access to credit and banking services. Our primary market is currently the UK and our development and production facilities are in Chennai and Noida in India (300 employees). We have also outsourced our customer contact center to another organization in Gurgaon, India. We are seeking a manager for our risk analytics team

Role and Responsibilities

- Design and optimize risk management strategies for consumer lending products.

- Design and implement credit evaluation and credit line strategies for our UK consumer lending products in the sub-prime market

- Design, build, implement and manage predictive models used in various aspects of the lending business: risk, fraud and credit line management

- Come up with experiment design, sample size requirements for running different risk/credit/fraud strategies at any given time

- Evaluate and assess third party data services for efficient credit line management

- Identify risk management issues and propose & implement risk management tools and techniques within the approved framework

- Improve existing scoring models,

- Contribute to financials forecasts

- Research and recommend improvements to statistical model development and monitoring methodologies.

- Support departmental head in other risk related initiatives.

- Manage Projects, train and supervise team members in various risk management tools and techniques.

- Lead a team of analysts/senior analysts focused on various analytics initiatives - ensure continued high engagement of the team members.

- Coordinate with senior colleagues in the US and in the UK on an ongoing basis to seek and extend project related information. Make regular presentation on the progress of your projects.

- Oversee adherence to business risk and security management processes.

- Identify risk management issue and propose and implement risk management tools and techniques within the approved framework.

- Perform execution, test data collection and effects estimation for the designed tests.

- Oversee execution, data collection and effects estimation for the designed tests.

- Help team identify and understand credit attribute relationships and results drivers and employ statistical techniques to validate model performance.

- Acquire and update knowledge ofoverall business economics and latest analytics tools and techniques.

- Understand the business and market well and proactively come up with ways to improve things around business objectives

- Oversee and undertake database analysis, develop and deploy financial models, financial management tools, and analytical tools. Monitor trends and issues.

- Monitor research and recommend improvements to statistical model development and monitoring methodologies.

- Supervise and ensure building and installing new credit and risk tools for credit line limit management

- Continuously refresh information, processes and tools.

- Acquire extensive knowledge of cutting edge statistical techniques such as ensemble models, random forest, boosting and NLP

- Program in R and Python

- Work on mySql for analysis

Candidate Profile

- 7 + years- experience in serving business intelligence and analytical role

- 3+ years of experience on risk management or credit line management of credit cards or line of credit products

- Strong knowledge of R and sql

- Python knowledge is a plus

- SAS knowledge is a plus

- MBA from top tier is plus

- Ability to lead and influence others

- Ability to collaborate, express and work in a team environment

- Excellent writing and presentation skills

- Self starter and ability to deal with ambiguous situations
