Senior Manager - Procurement - Bulk Raw Material (10-15 yrs)

- This position will hold overall responsibility for Bulk Raw Material (RM) procurement activity of the Company.

- To Formulate the RM procurement budget strategy

- To monitor and review the budget - Analyse the situation / environment prevailing on the date of the review and arrive at mid-course corrective / reinforcing actions based on the review.

- To formulate the RM wise procurement strategy - Mix between imports and domestic sourcing, contracted vs spot purchases, number of vendors / sources, vendor development and risk

- To keep himself / herself updated on the developments in the environment, derive implications for RM procurement and finalise and implement appropriate actions.

- To keep himself / herself updated on the latest procurement management practices / techniques , general practices being followed in the industry apply the same in the daily working for increased effectiveness. This will also include benchmarking w.r.t. industry practices and implementing the actions to achieve / surpass the benchmarks.

- Understanding the Supply Value Chain and leveraging the same for effective procurement.

- Gaining Market Intelligence and using the same in formulating procurement strategies and leveraging the same in procurement operations (planning, buying decisions, negotiations etc.)

- Developing and maintaining a Management Information System (MIS) / Decision Support System (DSS) as enablers to effective procurement decision making and monitoring of purchasing actions.

- Overall responsibility for bulk RM planning on a 3 month rolling basis - To decide on the inventory levels depending on production plan and the external environment.

- To negotiate with suppliers, finalise price and conclude orders.

- Develop Vendor development strategies to achieve organisation objectives (Maximisation of cost benefits, improvement of customer service levels and risk mitigation)

- Develop and implement Vendor Evaluation and Rating systems
