Senior Manager Pricing - Retail - The senior manager is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that align with the overall goals of the business and support profitability. - Leads an operational team of Technology Operations Analysts and contingent workers towards driving competitor coverage and data accuracy. - Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders, prioritizing the team's workload and driving progress towards the objective of establishing product matches and managing the data validation process. Responsible for Selecting, Hiring, Developing, Engaging & retaining talent. II. Roles & Responsibilities : Core Responsibilities : - This role will lead an Operational team focused on manually creating product matches to the competitor's product catalog and managing data validation processes. - Responsible for setting and managing the prices of products and ensuring that they are competitive in the market and provide reporting capability for price elasticity, price test modeling etc. - Collaborates with the business stakeholders in defining priorities for the team across categories, channels and competitors and defines the guidelines and acceptance criteria for product matches - Partners with product and engineering teams in identifying and defining technology enhancements that improve coverage and accuracy. - Establish Global working best practices to enable effective partnership and build execution ownership. - Manages daily operations including task allocation, prioritizing work - taking into consideration skills required and effort estimates to complete tasks/projects. - Drives and tracks progress against various tasks related to matching - match identification, validation, and maintenance. Actively works to drive clarity in requirements and remove obstacles for the team. - Drive operational excellence practices within the team - Ensures that the team can support ongoing competitive intelligence needs and collaborates with the vendor management team towards resourcing needs - Create & drive problem solving culture within teams to solve execution & business problems. Help teams implement various techniques of six sigma to streamline process. - Build practices on team member development and leveraging various tactics to help them make progress on their developmental goals. III. Years of Experience: - 10+ years of Retail Experience - 3+ years of experience in leading teams IV. Education Qualification & Certifications (optional) Required Minimum Qualifications : B.com / BBM / MBA / Retail Operations Management V. Skill Set Required: Primary Skills (must have) : - Deep expertise relevant to Pricing, Competitive Intelligence, particularly product matching. - Understanding of Retail Industry (local or global) - Data Analysis skillsets & visualization tool such as Teradata, Power BI, Excel - Strong communication skills - ability to comprehend, articulate and seamlessly communicate locally and globally - Experience in leading teams with Global interactions and driving process improvements within teams. - Problem Solving - ability to leverage data, information, and visuals to solve business and execution challenges. - Demonstrate strategic & critical thinking
