Looking for a seasoned leader to provide the best in market prices for our customers while providing the best value for private labels and 3rd party sellers. You need to have look both internally and externally to come up with the ideal pricing & margin strategy.

- Competitiveness of the retailers pricing (i.e. who has the perceived lowest prices)

- Optimal logistics costs

- Business and product lifecycles

- Seller Margins and Working Capital Management

- Price vs quality of the products offered (i.e. the value),

- Price the customer expects to pay for the product vs. the brand value

- Messaging of pricing in advertising

- Clarity of price information on the site

About the Role :


The key strategic objectives and responsibilities for this role include :

1. Pricing and fee strategy : Defining strategic frameworks while balancing both customer and seller needs. Taking actions to ensure that the prices of products listed on Hopscotch are competitive and ensure that both our private label business and 3rd party sellers are in line with the exceptional value we create for them.

2. Margin Expansion : Expand input margins from vendors, optimize supply chain costs and work closely with the marketing team to optimize for the bottomline.

3. Analysis, optimization, and improvement: Measuring the impact of actions taken and refining strategy or algorithm logic to improve performance.

4. Managing and influencing multiple international stakeholders, including business, operations, policy, technical and compliance teams up to Senior Management level. Build long term vision and operational plan for improving pricing and margin growth.

Requirements :

1. 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or business management/consulting roles that have included quantitative analysis

2. Outstanding analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and make business recommendations. Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis tools

3. Simultaneously dive deep into the tactical details and set a broad strategic vision for execution and scale.

4. Proven ability of handling ambiguity and presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner

5. Excellent written and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate with all cross functional teams (product management, business intelligence, marketing, supply chain, inventory management and merchandising teams).
