Senior Manager (Policy and Regulatory)

Our client has been awarded a long term consultancy contract by a large State owned distribution utility for providing advisory services in matters of policy, regulation, tariff and finance. Candidate would be part of such consultancy team but handling independent work stream under the scope of work and would be duly assisted by analyst(s).

Experience and Qualification :

- 8+ years of experience in regulatory matters of power sector, preferably in a reputed consulting firm.

- B. Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical from NITs/IIITs and top Govt. Funded Technical Institutes 


Only (Mandatory) :

- MBA in Finance/Power/Energy Management (Mandatory)

Required Skills :

- Ability to develop long term client relationships.

- Detailed knowledge of the Indian Power Sector, including its commercial, technological and regulatory drivers.

- Experience of handling tariff filing related assignments, commercial agreements - Power Purchase Agreements, Fuel Supply Agreements and Supplementary Power Purchase Agreements).

- Preparation of competitive bidding documents for power procurement from various sources.

- Extensive experience of having worked on renewable/conventional energy consulting assignments.

- Analytical and project management skills including the ability to implement projects efficiently and accurately.

- An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between multiple projects.

- Strong expertise in MS Excel based Financial Modeling.

- Strong written and oral communications skills

- Strong presentation skills

Working conditions / Location

Work location would be at a State Capital in North India
