Senior Manager - Pharma Research & Epidemiology (10-14 yrs)
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Hands on experience of conducting Systematic Literature Reviews to identify the epidemiology related studies that fit the business objectives
- Understand strength of various studies like retrospective vs prospective, populations based vs community based etc.
- Well adept with various epidemiological approaches e.g. derive prevalence based on incidence data, data trends
- Well aware of global and regional epidemiological registries like GLOBOCAN, CDC etc.
- Interpret results of analyses, identifies trends and issues, and develop recommendations for suitable data point to support business objectives
- Deliver presentations of the findings to clients onsite or through teleconference
- Support BD&L activities : Conceptualize and author use cases involving epidemiological concepts E.g situational analysis, opportunity assessments, patient based forecast
- Build and update process protocols and delivery frameworks to bring-in efficiencies
- Prepare execution plan with milestones and ensure adherence coupled with a risk mitigation strategy
- Raise flags if there are risks associated with projects or people
- Performance management: Set up team goals, conduct regular evaluations and provide inputs to team members on a periodic basis to manage performance
- Support in talent acquisition
- Train and mentor junior team members in a dynamic fast paced environment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
- 10+ years experience in delivering projects in field of Epidemiology for Global Markets
- At least 2-3 years of experience managing client and coaching team responsible for delivering such Projects
- Very good understanding of pharmaceutical business from commercial and clinical development perspectives, global pharmaceutical environment and challenges
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and build visually appealing reports/presentations
- Strong analytical skills to grasp problems (complexity, context etc.), see the big picture, conceptualize out of the box solutions
- Superior communication skills to ensure that the scope of projects/initiatives and expectations are commonly understood
- Excellent writing and comprehension ability, impeccable attention to detail and QC abilities
- Good organizational, time management and priority setting skills, and the flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams on a sound clinical and commercial base.
