Senior Manager - Merger & Acquisition - Logistics (1-3 yrs)

One of leading logistic company is hiring for merger and acquisition role for Bangalore location. Please find details as below.

Key Purpose :

- The role should be able to able to scrutinise all cases brought forward by merchant bankers/ other sources from M&A perspective.

- Evaluate suitability and strategic fit, evaluate financials, spot irregularities if any and provide initial view on the case 


- Interact with lawyers, CA firms appointed for due diligence etc Help run the project till completion (acquisition or rejection)

- Work with FP&A team on specific projects & reporting etc. as required

Key result areas :

- Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the following activities

Responsible for the following activities :

M&A :

- Evaluate term sheets of companies available in the market or sourced from intermediaries

- Work with merchant bankers on valuation perspective

- Assess ability to integrate and leverage acquisition from growth and margin inorganically.

- Evaluate suitability and strategic fit, evaluate financials, spot irregularities if any and provide initial view on the case

- Run the due diligence process for appointed bankers

- Liaison with lawyers, audit firms etc.


- Run the process to closure

- Also evaluate divestment of non strategic assets of company in case it is so decided

FP&A :

- Evaluate financials from competition benchmarking perspective

- Run strategic projects internal to F&A

Decision support :

- Support business in maintaining a profitable portfolio mix of products.

- Profitability evaluation for each business proposal.

- Help evaluate commercials of large contracts.

Key Skills :

- Professional finance/accounting qualification

- Participation/lead in M&A deals, extensive understanding of the M&A evaluation process,


- Extensive understanding of Balance sheet and valuation models

- Knowledge and experience of finance and accounting, specifically in areas Financial Planning & Analysis. Must have played an FP&A role

- High degree of process orientation, ability to build process out of chaos ie adaptability to a accelerating business and startup mindset.

- Ability to think out of the box and produce results with available resources.
