Senior Manager - Marketing - Publishing House (9-12 yrs)

A leading UK based publishing house is seeking candidates for the role of:

Job title : Senior Marketing Manager

Reports to (title) : Head of Marketing

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESULT AREAS :

1. Lead a team and work to set marketing strategies, contribute to the delivery of departmental strategies and objectives; employ creative and innovative tactics; ensure staff members effectively implement plans; critically analyse results and make changes accordingly, in order that products are marketed effectively, targets and objectives are met.

2. Recruit, train, manage and mentor staff; delegate work; provide support to more junior team members; ensure high levels of performance and morale across the team; and foster a spirit of innovation and creativity, in order that the team functions efficiently and standards are constantly improved.

3. Supervise content marketing and strategise to increase social media presence. Support and guide the team in creation of engaging content.

4. Coordinate with publicity and direct marketing team to supplement the discipline marketing efforts; work closely with commissioning and editorial teams for publishing decisions and strategies

5. Supervise and allocate marketing budgets; ensure resources are allocated according to departmental priorities and strategy; and ensure that all marketing activities are conducted within agreed spending limits

6. Work with HoM to set targets for the department and track these accordingly; put in place appropriate measures of marketing ROI and track performance against these; adjust resource allocations, activities and/or expectations on an on-going basis, in order that targets are met (as far as possible within resource constraints)

Knowledge/Experience preferred :

- Significant marketing experience, including writing and implementing marketing plans for key products, using innovative and creative approaches to marketing, and to contribute to departmental strategy and planning

- Experience of team handling; delegation, coaching and training

- Experience of project work and project management skills
