Senior Manager - Manufacturing Excellence - Chemical Manufacturing Firm (7-12 yrs)

This role is for transformation office to assist in Billion-dollar journey. Candidate is required to work independently on manufacturing workstream to identify & bring in cost impact to the PnL, through strategic interventions as well as through traditional levers. Candidate is expected to work with respective business teams, from conceptualizing stage to final implementation stage, using program management approach to bring in the cost savings & operational improvements every year. Person must have strong analytical skills, six sigma black belt is also desired.

Key Responsibilities :

Program delivery control


- Define and lead the weekly TO cadence and drive program governance process

- Operationally prepare agenda and content for TO meetings along with respective stake holders (e.g., take / send / close loop on meeting actions, produce high quality presentation material)

- Work with functional managers, to set priorities for the program and drive program governance process for the scope

- Set guidelines for initiative valuation and review/approve initiative for quality

- Ensure financial reconciliation of program impact and forecasted impact along with all stakeholders along finance team

- Monitor performance through KPI, conduct root cause problem solving session to detect & identify a solution quickly & accurately, drive high performance, objective achievement & service quality through well-defined service metrics

Collaborate for Finance TO team :

- Ensure financial reconciliation of program impact and forecasted impact

- Consolidate budget with finance team, define program target, and cascade targets down to workstreams

Support initiative delivery :

- Continuously identify initiatives roadblocks / delays, define actions needed to unblock and follow up to ensure "course correction"

- Challenge the status quo and hunt for opportunities and better results

- Act as a problem-solving partner for the business as it seeks to identify new initiatives and generate greater impact, faster

- Break down organizational barriers for collaboration to ensure maximum value delivered

- Work with plant teams to identify improvement potential to improve overall throughput, Yield, reduce utility cost and maintenance strategy.

- Provide program performance transparency to management

- Validate and ensure reporting on reflects program performance and highlight exceptions to management team

- Present / support preparation of program updates during key stakeholder meetings (i.e., leadership meetings)

- Prepare senior leadership on transformation talking points for management updates and internal communications

- Create high-level read out reports (e.g., transformation sharing, change stories, etc.)

Technical Skills amd Knowledge : -

- Have a can-do attitude

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

- Positive and proactive process management with an eye for detail and a strong challenger mentality

- Adept at problem solving, with sound business judgment and strong analytical skill

- Has a growth mindset and is open-minded and willing to try new things

- Confident in Board level engagements

- Extensive experience of defining, managing, and delivering large scale complex business change programs
