Senior Marketing Manager for an IT Company


Top pref given to candidates with below criteria :

- Currently been in a #2 role who can be groomed to #1 or currently in a #1 role

- Strong exp of associating with IT services /Product companies

- Currently in Chennai or is a native of Chennai

- Available to join in 2-3 weeks time (notice period buy out option available )

- CTC To be offered Rs.18L max which would have 15-20% variable

- Knowledge of IOT, Cloud &/or infrastructure management preferred

- Should have strong knowledge in branding & corporate communications

Digital Marketing Role


Location: Chennai (Kilpauk)

- Strategic Planning & Implementation : Market Research. Marketing Strategy Formulation. Marketing Budgeting & Allocation.

- Media and Public Relations : Media relations refer to the relationship that a company or organization develops with journalists, while public relations extend that relationship beyond the media to the general public.

- Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies. Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations. Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media. Collating and analysing media coverage. Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis. Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

- Practice/Function/Account Based Marketing : Work closely with the Accounts Leadership & help develop marketing strategy for these accounts. Build brand assets & templates, execute plans and campaigns including supporting pursuits and help position the company strongly within these accounts.

- Digital & Social Media Marketing : Enhance brand & promote the company's products and services in the digital space. Content, videos, podcasts, and audio content on online sites. Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns. Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook . Track and Trace SEO metrics. Identify new digital marketing trends and ensure that the brand leads industry developments.

- Partnership Marketing : Build relationships with partners & thought leaders to grow industry awareness. Work with OEM and Channel sales teams to identify quarterly priorities and programs. 


- Own key partner marketing programs for strategic partnerships, including partner seminars, webinars and social media campaigns, Continually identify new opportunities to improve scale, impact, and efficiency. Coordinate the localization and distribution of marketing materials for our partners. Support key Channel-led End-user demand gen activities.

- Corporate Brand Management & Development : Manage the organization's website. Optimize content for the website and social networking channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, etc. Drive website traffic and acquire business leads. Track the website traffic flow and provide internal reports regularly.


- Measure site traffic, identify and evaluate new digital tech, optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media, display & search advertising using web analytics tools. Creating and executing SMS, and email-based marketing campaigns

- Marketing & Corporate Communications : Vendor & Client Communication. Creating, managing and publishing content. Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, information brochures, manuals, technical documents, hand-outs, direct mail, promotional videos and photographs. Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports. RFI / RFP Management.

- Spokesperson Training : Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities

- Stakeholder Management : Customer Relationship Management

- Event Planning & Execution : Develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns that promote the products and services of the company. Arrange webinars, podcasts, webcasts, etc. Evaluate, Propose industry events to participate with benefits, attend networking events and product launches

- Team Building & Leadership : Effectively lead & empower a team of 5 members.

- India Inside Sales : Manage the efforts around India Inside Sales, including - Account Management. Exceptional time management. Cold calling & Telephone sales, Revenue generation, Market research & Competitor analysis. Effective Negotiations. RFP/RFQ/RFI. CRM, Prospecting & Lead Generation. B2C & B2B.

JOB SPECIFICATION :

A) Relevant years of Experience : 8 to 12 years

B) Mandatory Specification (Must to Have) :

- A minimum of 8 years in Strategic Planning & Implementation within Corporate Marketing & Communications in an IT Products/Services Organization.

- Proven exposure to Practice/Function/Account Based Marketing, Media and Public Relations.

- Should be very familiar with Partnership Marketing, Digital & Social Media Marketing

- Versatile in Corporate Brand Management & Development, Marketing & Corporate Communications

- Strong Stakeholder Management experience., Event Planning & Execution

- Exposure in managing Inside Sales/Pre-Sales/Sales will be an added advantage.

- Proven competencies in Team Building & Leadership.

- Should be very familiar with branding fundamentals, latest trends in new media & knowledge of emerging solutions around (Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud & IoT).

- Should have the ability to comprehend complex thoughts and multi-skill projects

- Proven ability to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity.

D) Secondary Specification (Good to Have): Certification in Digital Marketing & other related areas matching the job description.

Academics - Bachelor's degree/Master's degree/or equivalent

Personal Characteristics :

- Should have good oral and written communication skills.

- Motivated, self-starter individual with a can-do attitude.

- Ability to understand and adhere to processes.

- Attention to details.

- Ability to work independently.
