Senior Manager/Manager - Business Development - eCommerce (4-6 yrs)
Role: Drive Seller and Selection acquisition
In this role the person would be critical in identifying, acquiring and retaining sellers who can provide with a variety of selection and ensure that the platform becomes a destination for value conscious tail selection buyers.
Key elements of the role include:
- Understanding the sources of supply locally and globally and building the approach to sustainably onboard these at scale
- Build seller ecosystems across markets to improve RU and ensure lowest cost selection depth across categories
- Ensure high retention rates of sellers as well as high seller NPS scores
- Provide inputs to the product teams in helping making sellers successful with the right insights
Job Description -
- Identify leading selection in the global markets, understand consumer demand trends and ensure consistent supply of new selection
- Develop strong understanding of seller ecosystems and travel as required to identify and build strong relationships with sellers
- Build the right seller insights and platform-level capabilities to make sellers successful on the platform
- Constantly feed back competitive market inputs to the category, product, operations and marketing teams to ensure growth of the platform
Desired skills and experience -
- 4-6 years experience in field sales
- MBA is preferred
- Program management skills, relationship management, interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams with an eye for detail
- Basic proficiency in MS applications e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel / Power point
