Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager - USGAAP/Reporting Consulting - Financial Controllership Team

In this role, we are looking for a strong SME with extensive knowledge of taxation concepts and would be part of the Financial Controllership Team - Legal Entity Controller.

Responsibilities

- Ensure Controllership & taxation activities are completed as per time schedule

- US GAAP Close - Prepare and review Journals related to business actions & decisions

- Financial Reporting - Engage in collecting data related to SEC disclosures; review the out and report to Group consolidation

- Coordination with various departments & auditors in relation to Financial / Statutory audits

- Preparation of Indirect tax returns - VAT / GST /Property tax

- Review of Indirect tax liabilities and adherence to time schedule of tax payments

- Assist in Preparation of Direct tax returns - Corporate Income tax

- Review of Direct tax liabilities and adherence to time schedule of tax payments

- Calculation of Deferred tax assets and Liabilities and accounting for same in Local and US GAAP

- Engage in Projects related to business initiatives

- Preparation of Financial reporting statement as per IFRS / Country specific accounting standards

- Review and work business submissions for Local / GAAP Financial statements

- Prepare consolidated Financial statement at region / corporate level

- Prepare data for monthly / quarterly / annual reviews

- Works with business Controllers to clarify queries

- Interact with other department to obtain relevant information for consolidation

- Prepare and review Balance sheet reconciliations

- Responsible for updating Standard Operating Procedures

- Cross train team members on deliverables

- Identify and implement process improvements

- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision

- Leading discussion with Client on process changes; deliverables schedule and Service delivery

- People management - Leading; Coach and mentor team of assigned resources

- Initiatives - identify simplification / transformation opportunity and leading implementation

Minimum qualifications : 

- Experience in Financial Controllership / tax operations

- Understanding of IFRS / Direct tax / VAT / GST

- Exposure to Financial statement preparations and Direct and Indirect tax calculations and Fillings of returns.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to learn ERP systems with preferable knowledge of SAP / S4 HANA

- Ability to communicate verbally and through e-mails with businesses

- Good conceptual knowledge

- Excellent MS Office skills including MS Excel

- Good Communication Skills & Ability to engage with Senior leadership

Preferred qualifications

- Previous experience of working on process improvements is an added advantage

- Preferred Educational Qualification - CA/CPA
