Senior Manager - Liner Relationship - Logistics/Shipping Firm

Key Responsibilities: 1. Liner Relationship Management:

a) Overall Shipping Lines (Carriers), Third Party Logistics Service Providers (3PLSP) and Non-Vessel Owning Common Carriers (NVOCC) relationship Management.

b) Day-to-day monitoring of carrier, 3PLSP and NVOCC business for timely evacuation of import containers.

c) Monitoring of rotation of carriers services from various geographies at each of the maritime ports and forecast of their calls and discharge.

d) Periodic forecast for all major carriers to help Rail Transportation to manage timely evacuation of import containers.

e) Coordinate with Carriers for timely filing of IGM / SMTP.

f) Monitoring the operational requirements of carriers at the ports. Coordinate with major customers through Customer Service function to ensure timely evacuation and delivery of the import containers.

g) Monitoring Port Dwell Time and Port Ground Rent accruing on import containers at the port and to coordinate with Rail Transportation function for quicker evacuation of such containers.

h) Preparing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to Carrier business and periodic revision of the SOP based on changes in business requirement.

i) Preparing Day's Activity Plan and continuous review of execution progress of plan and course correction, wherever required.

j) Leading the Morning Operations Conference Call and the Morning Coordination Meeting.

k) Daily and periodic statistical reports (MIS) for Management Review of the terminal.

2. Monitoring and Management of Special Services for carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC

a) Dedicated Train Service Scheduling allocation and management in coordination with Terminal Heads and Head Rail Transportation

b) Coordination with Port Terminals for management of regular Dedicated Train Services for the Carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC

3. Procurement & RFQ Process :

a) Coordinate with the procurement and commercial teams of carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC for smooth annual tendering process.

b) Coordinate with Pricing Desk to facilitate statistical analysis of volumetric and financial data for decision making during annual tender / RFQ / RFP process of various carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC.

c) Coordinating with Legal and Company Secretarial function for negotiation and execution of Service Agreements with Carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC.

4. Managing the database for Carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC accounts.

a) Maintaining and monitoring the volumetric, financial and relationship database pertaining to Carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC.

b) Preparing Statistical Reports for discussion and meetings with Carriers, 3PLSP and NVOCC.

Qualifications: Graduate; Postgraduate degree / diploma in Management (Preferably Operations or Logistics Management) will be an added advantage.

Experience Required :

- Years of Experience: 7 - 10 Years working with a carrier, 3PLSP, NVOCC

- Leadership Experience: 5 Years

- Experience in a leadership position at an Inland Container Depot / Container Freight Station / Port Container Terminal will be an added advantage

- Experience in International Container sector will be an added advantage
