Senior Manager - Learning & Development - General Insurance (10-14 yrs)

We have been retained by one of the Leading General Insurance Company to identify a Lead their Learning and Development.

Role: Sr.Manager - L&D

Reporting to: VP L&D

Location: Mumbai

Direct Reports:

Role Purpose:

- Ensure Organization is able to drive the People Capability Development agenda across businesses.

- Consult with business on Customer needs / business needs and Employee needs

- Devise and execute learning strategy for the organization

- Develop appropriate Content, learning solutions and teaching aids relevant

- Drive Strategic Development programs like MDP, Succession planning, Internship Infusion program etc.

Key Responsibilities:

- To conceptualize and implement capability building agenda - framework of learning from culture building perspective, design and deployment of interventions and measures of success

- To conduct need analysis and create a learning & development execution plan for the businesses

- To define measures of success of capability development investment and ensuring reporting is set up to track these

- To drive people development agenda for the organisation

- To design and deploy Senior Leadership Development Interventions

- To manage critical talent program - engagement, development and retention of identified critical Talent/ Hi-Pots

- To design and roll-out of customized development programs for identified groups of talent

- To launch and roll-out of innovative interventions designed around reinforcing values

- To conceptualize and implement development plans to support Succession Planning agenda

- To create Management Development interventions

- Aside from the above core responsibilities, the incumbent will be expected to support other aspects of people philosophy and contribute to relevant strategic initiatives of the HR function. S/he must be a strong, effective team player.

- Manage and maintain records, data pertaining to the Function

- Learning Value evaluation Business stakeholder feedback

- Project implementation effectiveness against deliverables

- Green field projects and outcomes

- Budget management - clear governance structure and audit trails

- L&OD Consultants / vendors

- Business Partners and their LND leads

Skills & Ability

- Learning & Development (including adult learning concepts & process) knowledge and experience

- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, projects and stakeholder groups; project management, strong consulting and negotiation skills

- Must be bright, quick, articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills

- Possess independent thought and opinion to provide candor and honesty to support and influence key decisions

- Strong understanding of Organization Development concepts, trends and models, with experience of execution of these models including communication and change management

- Ability to establish quality relationships, a strong communication link and credibility within the HR team and the businesses through the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and mutual respect

- Must have a demonstrated track record of building functional credibility

- Ability to prioritize and cope with competing demands. Must possess a sense of urgency and excellent execution and project management skills

- Must be a strategic thinker, with the ability to see the big picture, visualize the future and develop and execute relevant functional strategies which add value to our businesses. Must be able to navigate ambiguity

- Must be able to get the job done by working collaboratively with others

- Must demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking; must bring a creative perspective to business problems applying functional expertise, business understanding and common sense

- Ability to stay connected with the external market with a view to bring best practices and Initiatives into the company

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate from any discipline Or Post Graduate with a specialization in Human Resources from an institute of repute

- Minimum of 10+ years of solid L&D experience with organizations of repute for HR practices, out of which at least 3 years should have been in a lead role in a corporate

- Exposure to robust HR processes
