Senior Manager - Industrial Relation - Retail

We are looking for a Sr. Manager - IR (East India) for one of our client. The company is the leader in the Retail Industry.

Location: Kolkata (Should speak local language)

Experience: 15 - 25 years

Job Description:

1. Union Management

Develop and Maintain relationship with key stakeholders, preventing an untoward incident in the store operation.

2. Discipline Management

- Understanding and identifying the actual issues, grievances in stores and creating bridge between the floor employees and management, coordination with Store Managers, Area HR, counseling to employees, guiding, warning, issuing Memo, Show cause Notice, Charge sheet to the employees for their misconducts and for violating the Norms of the organization. Arranging to conduct departmental enquiries in the serious issues and implementing disciplinary procedures as per the code of conducts.

- Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, an equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management. Training on ER, Welfare and Statutory.

3. Employee Relations

- Partner with managers to retain, develop and motivate employees to achieve their fullest potential.

- Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balance in representing all parties- interests.

4. External Environment Management

- Ensure and build a healthy relationship with local types of machinery like labor department officials, labor court, Industrial court, Police, and other required Govt Officials.
