Job Profile -&nbsp; - Lead the Security incident response team and serve as the primary point of contact for handling alerts generated by the security monitoring systems - Build processes for identifying, responding and containing incidents based on the processes outlined - Proactively improve standard operating procedures used by the SOC and capability - Manage the active hunting platform in assistance with the SOC Team/Vendor. - Has a solid understanding of forensic and incident response casework. Provide assistance with maintaining case information, chain of custody reporting, and full documentation of issues from identification through remediation. - Maintain metrics and analytics of security events and assist in fine tuning the incident response process. - Develop and fine tune incident response metrics in conjunction with the Cyber security Operations to measure incident response activities for reporting to senior leadership - Ensure SLA compliance to for monitoring events/incidents - Familiarity will cyber-attack simulations, offensive and defensive security testing - Understanding of the new and emerging threat vectors and defense mechanisms Competencies -&nbsp; - Good understanding of networking concepts around Ethernet, switched LAN and WAN environments - Prior knowledge or academic familiarity with reverse engineering, malware analysis, security research and forensic tools. - Strong project management skills (objective setting, communications, risk management, performance tracking, evaluation/measurement). - Strong analytical skills; ability to accurately assess a situation and arrive at a positive solution. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in any discipline - One or more of the following technical certifications or equivalents: - EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ITIL Foundation, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), EnCE or similar- - Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&amp;CK framework - CISSP or equivalent IT/Information Security qualification preferred. - 7-10 yrs experience - Strong knowledge of Network Security concepts. - Sound technical knowledge of various IT security systems (Firewalls, Proxy, antivirus, IPS etc.) - Good analytical, communication and presentation skills. - Ability to learn and quickly grasp new technologies
