Role Title : Sr. Manager, Human Resources

Department : Shared Service : HR

Role will be reporting to : VP : Human Resources (India)

Role Location : IN- Gurgaon

Role Purpose: HR Business Partnering

To facilitate the business in adequately managing its Human Resources and HR processes by partnering with them in all processes such as HR cost budgeting, manpower planning, Job Description, organization structuring, recruitment, performance management, employees grievance management etc.

Strategize to develop ways to enhance teamwork and working across boundaries across the organization

Act as advisor and coach to the senior management team at Colt India on assessment, development, compensation and benefits, litigation, early warning and organization issues.

Talent Acquisition :

- The role holder also takes ownership for driving and implementing various talent acquisition policies, processes and systems for Europe. Works closely with the RPO partner, EU leadership, business / hiring managers, Employees (internal candidates), Global HR Shared services, besides engaging with external candidates & vendor partners.

Organization Development :

- To execute new and innovative ways of managing and promoting talent within the organization through effective implementation of various programs such as internal job searches, active identification and development of High potential resources, training and re-skilling, effective organization design, career planning and succession planning.

- To identify opportunities to encourage talent movement and growth such that it promotes a culture of healthy competition, performance and stickiness to the organization.

Rewards :

- To drive consistency in global and local compensation philosophy across all BU's while maintaining alignment with local market benchmark

- To ensure that the the local reward system is seen as fair, equitable and competitive in the local market (across all BU's) and by all stakeholders internally as well externally.

Key Accountabilities : Sub Section 1 :

- Talent Acquisition RPO Partner Relationship Management : Effective management of relationship with RPO partner by regular review of services, provide adequate support and taking appropriate actions when required.

- HR leadership : Supports and advises function heads and managers on HR processes as a business partner. Engage on people issues and provide speedy resolution to the same.

- Talent Mgmt. & Development : Engage with business to track and develop top quartile talent. Work closely with business leaders & HR BPs to develop talent, succession planning, capability building & enhancement of existing talent. Ensure / Facilitate Internal Job movements and job rotations are being carried out as per the HR scorecard.

- Employee engagement : Skip levels and one-on-one meetings with employees. Improvement of ESAT scores through sustained HR interventions.

- Performance & rewards : Ensure adherence of processes related to Performance Management, Personal development & Performance improvement planning (manage low performance). Work with business leaders / Managers towards achievement of performance differentiation for the business as part of the year end processes. Encourage rewards & recognition initiatives, besides driving timely submission of quality nominations.

- Compliance : Ensures adherence to compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirements..

Sub Section 2 :

- Culture, Change & Coaching : Initiating and driving HR programs/initiatives placing considerable focus on retention, scaling and culture issues. Develops implementation plans to support change management initiatives. Coach managers on managerial effectiveness, especially those identified basis ESAT/feedback.

- Any other responsibilities as set out from time to time by the India HR VP & Country Head.

- Role models team leadership and management qualities - holds regular 1:1 sessions, provides useful feedback to team members, and resolves any issues

- Identifies and tackles poor performance quickly - utilising development opportunities, performance improvement processes, coaching/mentoring and exit processes.

Teamwork :

We put teamwork at the heart of our business, working with others to achieve success - Communicates with colleagues from other teams and other geographies regularly to share ideas and take input - uses input to improve team's working methods and output, also improving inter-team working relationships

- Identifies areas where team's activities duplicate or conflict with other teams; working resolve conflicts or remove duplication in a way that creates maximum benefit for the business

Experience :

- 13 - 16 years of generalist HR experience with at least 5 - 8 years in a functional or regional HR leadership role (Supervising 1 - 2 manager level reportees).

- Experience as a HR practitioner in an international HR environment, with either broad knowledge across a wide range of HR disciplines or expertise in one or more disciplines.

- Excellent Leadership, Presentation and Communication skills.

- Willing and capable to balance business needs, without sacrificing the HR role of being an employee advocate.

- Effective team management and development skills.

- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning and analytical skills..

- Ability to exercise considerable judgment in building relationships across all organisational levels and functions.

- Ability to manage ambiguity, risk and changing direction of projects and strategies

- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making and involve confidential or sensitive matters.

- Maintain integrity & good eye for detail.

Skills/Qualifications :

- MBA / PG - Human Resources from a reputed business school.
