Senior Manager - Health Care Impact Investing (6-10 yrs)

1. Asset Management

- Tara IV India Fund - The portfolio companies include companies like Ovum (Women & Child Speciality Hospital), Panacea (Manufacturing affordable radiotherapy equipment for cancer treatment), Lilac (Prenatal and Pregnancy services to improve outcomes), and Lifcar (Full-service subscription pharmacy).

- The Investors in the Fund include sovereign funds from Belgium

- S/he will lead Portfolio Management for these entities, devise strategies for growth and sustainability, lead follow-on investment round discussions, scout for exit opportunities and represent Tara IV on the board of these companies and the org also invests opportunistically in India, Europe and Americas in start-ups that focus on Healthcare, Education & Skilling, Climate & Agriculture. S/he will be involved in sourcing, investments, and management of this portfolio as well.

2. Advisory

- Actively engage with key stakeholders in the sector - private and public institutions, aid agencies, foundations, and partner organisations to grow the Healthcare Advisory practice in India - to develop thought leadership.

- S/he will lead the Healthcare platform globally working with Partners, Principals & Managers to draft a strategy for blended finance in healthcare inclusion.

- Lead business development efforts (e.g., research and design new investments opportunities, identify and develop relationships with potential new partners)

- End to end responsibility for execution of blended finance advisory mandates:

i. Design and structuring of innovative finance instruments and funds/deals

ii. Analysis on a range of financial, business development, social and environment issues focused on sustainable, efficient and high quality healthcare delivery

iii. Ensuring high quality of deliverables, and lead engagement with clients

iv. Manage work streams and coach, manage and support team members

Qualifications and Skills:

- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics, Development, Public Administration) and ideally in Public Health and/or Medicine

- 6-10 years of relevant work experience across consulting, investing and healthcare operations

- Strong knowledge of financial modelling, accounting and debt capital markets

- Experience in negotiating and closing financial transactions (buy or sell-side)

- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in social, development or environmental issues

Core Skillset :

Analytics : Ability to structure complex problems independently

Project Management : Ability to independently manage teams and workplans

Client Management : Ability to effectively present to a range of stakeholders across cultures, build strong senior-level relationships with clients and develop new projects

- Demonstrated fluency (spoken and written) in English plus one Indian language

- Upholding values for integrity, honesty and transparency

- Entrepreneurial mind-set and proactive workstyle
