Senior Manager - Finance - Social Sector (8-18 yrs)

Position Name : Senior Manager- Finance & Compliance

Location : New Delhi

Report to : Director - Operations and Senior Management

The manager/senior manager would be required to lead the organisation's Finance and Compliances function. He/she would be part of the organization's core group and would work closely with the leadership to streamline Finance systems, compliances, budgets and policies, ensuring a resilient organization. As a senior member of the team, the organization is looking for a person experienced in the finance function preferably in the social sector. The Finance Head should be a thinker, who can help the organization develop a robust finance strategy consistent with its growth plans; ensure compliances and set up systems to handle the fast growth of people and operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Strategic thinking and planning of organization finances and policies and implementing the same

- Setting up a robust financial system to meet the scale and needs of a fast-growing organization

- Leading the finance and operation team of 4-6 people to get things done within deadlines.

- Ensuring the organization is compliant with various filings to FCRA/RoC/Income Tax/ Provident Fund/ GST, MHA and other statutory organizations, following amendments in rules. Working closely with the auditors and lawyers on various filings.

- Working with management and Program Officers to prepare budgets, MIS, Utilizations certificates and other reports for Donors, sponsors and management as and when required.

- Managing the allocations of funding and budgeting of planned expenses; Overseeing reconciliation of budget v/s actuals for various grants & corporate funds; Ensuring adequate risk management.

- Managing entire payroll system, timely disbursement salaries including calculation and deduction of income tax.

- Establish banking arrangements and maintain liaison with principal bankers. Develop a plan to minimise exposure to currency gains and losses

- Timely calling of board meetings, drawing up agenda, minutes and filings to various authorities, Overseeing filing of TDS Returns, GST calculations, Bank reconciliations, Overseeing various audits (Statutory Audit, half yearly & external audits by Donors)

Role requirements :

- Experience in the finance function, preferably including work in the social sector

- Expertise in compliance and FCRA

- Demonstrated leadership, and team spirit.

- Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment

- Strong strategic thinking

- Interpersonal and influence skills

- Humility and integrity
