Role : Senior Manager - Operations Control

Location : Bangalore

Reporting Manager : Global Controller

Responsibilities :

Constitutes 40% individual contributor role and 60% team/stakeholder management. It is a critical role shaping and creating robustness in finance processes with impact across geographies

1. Drive & operationalize controllership initiatives globally

a. Simplification initiatives engaging with business/finance/IT teams to deliver the desired outcome. Project manage/coordinate with various cross functional teams and external vendors involved in the project. eg. Contract review management, GRC, ABAC etc.

b. Operationalize initiatives and monitor/review effectiveness with communication through analytics and dashboards

2. Tax Controllership

a. Understand tax positions and aligning accounting conformity in coordination with Group Tax/Local Country Tax/Finance teams.

b. Ensure Return to Books reconciliation

c. Templatise/simplify/automate/ensure collation of tax reporting data from businesses/shared service team eg. 3CD, 3CEB, ICDS, TDS etc. Support data collation for tax assessments/audits.

d. Indirect Tax - ensure return to book reconciliations

e. Align the mapping for SAP/ERP to FCCS

3. Quarter/Annual close process

a. Framing and communicating timelines

b. Inter-company balance/transaction reconciliation

c. Consol journal entries

d. Financial Statement Review and Analytical Review with all entities

e. Stat audit related schedules, input collation and compilation

f. Ensure local-2-consol reconciliation of reserves, revenue and margin

4. Record-to-Report Shared Services

a. Own R2R Centre of Excellence (CoE)

b. Enhance foot-print of R2R CoE across globally by expanding the R2R operations to through outsourced/inhouse capacity. Responsible for statutory audit and filings of entities transitioned

c. Own Global Account Reconciliation process

5. GL and Shared Service Analytics

a. Design, develop and operationalize GL analytics of key financial parameters

b. Design shared services (AP, AR, BRS, PO) analytics in line with industry standards

6. Engage with business in identifying projects/initiatives to enhance controllership environment. Project manage the initiatives to achieving the stated outcome.

7. Support M&A - in integration and controllership

Requirement :

1. Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with +12 years of experience

2. Understand the implications of corporate laws, tax laws on accounting and consolidation is essential.

3. Experience in ERP implementation/roll-out

4. Experience in and knowledge of various IT applications/tools/platforms

5. Experience in consolidation controllership, finalisation and M&A accounting concepts would be an advantage

6. Proficiency in MS Office applications and other software applications/tools

7. Good understanding of Ind AS/IFRS. Experience in managing statutory and tax audits

8. Working knowledge of SAP/ERP and Hyperion would be an advantage
