Senior Manager - Finance - IFRS - Shared Services - Market Research Firm (10-18 yrs)

The Role

You will be responsible for leading and owning our new formed function within the Group Finance department in our Mumbai office. You will drive an effective and cost-efficient function while upholding robust controls and continuous process improvements.

What will I be delivering?

- Leading the teams in Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Intercompany, and Payroll on an ongoing basis, in order to support business strategy and values and to optimise efficiency and productivity of the organisation.

- Project manage the transition of activities from regional finance teams across the globe to create the Shared Service Centre (including recruitment and training).

- Establish Service Level Agreements, ensuring the teams consistently hit KPIs, and report on KPIs and metrics to senior management.

- Successfully implement and maintain financial accounting controls and processes and drive best practice through continuous improvement.

What do I need to bring with me?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

- At least 5 years of experience in setting up and leading an offshore finance shared service team, with demonstrated managerial capability and strong stakeholder management.

- Knowledge of business processes with the ability to optimise business functions through focused improvement initiatives.

- Experience of reporting under IFRS and ensuring revenue in bundled service contracts is appropriately recognised.

- Experience of six sigma would be desirable.

Technical skills and qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines preferable

Behavioural competencies

- Strong leadership, able to provide guidance to team members

Team player

- Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines/SLAs, ability to proritise and manage time effectively

- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a high degree of tenacity and resilience
