Senior Manager - Field Systems - Retail POS Systems (8-10 yrs)
Sr. Manager required for a reputed organisation, based in Mumbai.
The purpose of this role is to manage all the in-store technologies including point of sales and mobile POS and its integrations with other systems such as credit card processing, loyalty, online ordering, and ERP. The role will also have strong knowledge of business processes in store and advise functional teams in technology related areas.
Minimum of BE/B.TECH -IT/Computers
New POS implementation
- Document the detailed business requirements for various modules including menu management, ordering, reporting, cash management and channels management
- Develop detailed knowledge of the existing POS solution including customizations, current challenges, configurations, and deployment architecture etc.
- Closely work with the product vendor to identify the gaps and finalize a business requirements document
- Coordinate with the product vendors to ensure delivery of the business requirements and all integration
- Build test plans and coordinate with a third-party test vendor to test the new POS software
- Conduct user trainings and provide day to day support to ensure smooth transition to the new POS software
- Liaise with all relevant internal teams, structures and departments as appropriate to promote awareness and delivery of the programme
Day to day point of sales management and stakeholder management
- Coordinate with the POS support vendor to ensure all POS related incidents raised by the store teams are addressed in a timely manner
- Build knowledge around the system to ensure timely closure of incidents
- Continuously work on systems / process improvements and advise business of potential IT / digital interventions
- Manage internal functional stakeholders in understanding their new requirements and issues related to in-store technologies
- Provide support on all integration related issues with loyalty, credit card and other systems
- Conduct periodic governance related activities with key vendors providing in-store systems
In-store Digital transformation
- Conceptualize new digital ideas that will lead to enhanced customer experience, improve sales or cost efficiencies
- Coordinate with vendors for initial PoC and subsequent scale-up
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in managing industry leading retail / QSR point of sales systems (e.g. NCR, Microsoft, LS Retail, Micros)
- Hands on experience in managing system configurations, technical and functional issues related to point of sales systems
- Hands on experience in project delivery and stakeholder management
- Experience in 3rd party vendor management
- Possesses good communication skills
