Job Openings for Sr Manager EHS -Chennai Client : One of the Industrial Warehouse Solutions Group Position :Sr Manager EHS Exp : 5 to 12 yrs Location : Chennai Key Responsibilities : - Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental legal and other requirements - Develop ESMS and address and resolve E&S risks associated with day to day operations - Develop and maintain appropriate control and auditing systems - Develop Health and Safety plans at corporate and site levels - Assist managers carrying out risk assessments across all areas of the organization and carry out risk assessments in certain areas - Conduct Fire Risk Assessments at all sites - Design and develop policies and procedures related to EHS management - Develop a EHS training programme and conduct trainings on health and safety to all direct and contract employees, as appropriate - Develop and implement a monitoring and review procedure to ensure all ESMS policies, plans and procedures are correctly and uniformly implemented across all sites and operations - Inspect unsafe conditions at the site and report and resolve to ensure working conditions are safe for all employees - Responsible for investigating and conducting root cause analysis on accidents or incidents and developing and implementing corrective actions - Create awareness among employees on safety culture, proactive environmental sustainability, health and safety hazards and implement life-saving rules both at corporate and site covering critical safety hazards Education Qualifications & Experience : - Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems. - 5-12 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment and Fire Services - Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental - Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation - Has working knowledge of ISO and OHSAS guidelines - Good command over English and Local Language - Experience in Liaising with relevant Govt. authorities - NEBOSH/ OHSAS certified will be an added advantage Babu Neeruganti 9886921119
