Senior Manager/DGM - Tendering & Costing - Infrastructure

CTC : Negotiable based on current CTC, experience, interview status.

Position : Sr. Manager / DGM ....Tendering & Costing

Department : Tendering & Costing - Solar EPC

Direct Reporting To : Vice President - Solar EPC

Indirect Reporting To: DGM Sales & Marketing - Solar EPC VP - International Solar EPC

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :-

1. Technical Analysis :

- Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD)/ PV Syst software

- Run PV Syst reports for system production estimates

- Use custom software tools to design PV ground mounted

- Perform accurate system sizing calculations

- Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD)/ PV Syst software

- Develop designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements

- Optimize design for maximum cost & performance efficiency

- Creating comprehensive list of pre-bid query in advance

- Summarizing inputs required for Technical drawings and BOQ

- Preparation of tenders list & checking out pre-qualification criterion

- Risk estimation due to potential energy loss

2. Costing & Tendering :

- Identify & define comprehensive scope of costing.

- Building detailed bills of materials based on system specifications

- Site report evaluation for price estimation

- Procuring logistic/O&M quote from Internal and External vendors

- Provide documentation for each cost element, indicating sources of data, assumptions used and any other methodology or analysis

- Analyzing past tender result and Zero Down the target numbers for the upcoming bids

- Ensure that all expected costs have been properly presented to Customer for Review/Approval/Acceptance of the estimate

- Risk and cost analysis of tender

- Preparation of documentation and commercial bid as per specification

3. Cross functional Co-ordination :

- Attending pre-bid meetings and getting clarification on all required query

- Work across functionally with sales, project management and execution teams to ensure all tender requirements and internal deadlines are met

- Getting all relevant quote through direct communication with vendor or supply chain

- Laisoning with the concern authority, preparation of comparison chart / Analysis report and getting competitors information

- Coordinate with engineering, SCM & execution team to capture all required technical & commercial inputs

- Handling online portal i.e. Bharat Electronics portal (ETS), E Procurement portal, NTPC E procurement portal, Mahagenco, n-procurement

- Keeping track of live (submitted) tenders from floating of tenders up to award of work

Academic qualifications : B.E/Diploma Electrical / Civil Engineering, working knowledge of in Solar industry.

Work Experience & Skills :

1. Overall 10 + years of experience in cost estimation, tendering in EPC company works and preferably in solar EPC group.

2. Ability to estimate the PV plant costing - up to 11/22/33/66/110/132/220 kV power levels

3. Has experience in running PVSYST and AutoCAD

4. Requires extensive knowledge Electrical and Civil project works & solar products

7. Good in analytical skills etc.
