Senior Manager - Design - IT (10-20 yrs)

Role - Design Leadership Senior Manager


Exp : 10 - 20 Years 

Responsibilities:


- Be involved in all aspects of the product development for a major product area; from strategy, research, prototyping, concept to interaction design, to final QA and code tweaks right before launch

- Ability to delegate and collaborate with team members, contractors, agencies, or other external vendors

- Prioritization of business needs and an understanding of how to manage internal priorities/constraints.

- Adaptability and quick thinking for times when projects change, timelines shift, or scopes vary. Knowledge around how to navigate these situations and the ability to mitigate issues as they arise

- Maintain a high-bar for creative quality for yourself and others while pushing to find the best solution to meet company goals

- Provide leadership, direction and mentorship for Design projects; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms and devices.

- Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside their core product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive and well-informed.

- Set new standards in executional and operational excellence

- Manage the implementation of the design system across the product ecosystem

- Design and define interaction patterns through components, documentation, and prototypes

- Work with developers to maintain and create new components for our library

- Present to cross-functional partners both inside and outside of marketing, including to all levels of leadership through to C level.

- Receptiveness to receiving feedback and thoughtfulness and clear articulation around delivering feedback

- Be a thoughtful and articulate advocate for the brand and an ambassador for OpsInteractive in the Accenture community (e.g. by spearheading design events and/or cultivating our online presence)

Must Have Skills/Qualifications :

- Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching team members, and leading by example

- Still loves the craft; likes to get hands dirty and contribute as a designer from time to time

- Strong product design sense that allows you to fluidly move from high-level strategic conversation to nitty gritty details

- An outstanding portfolio, showcasing strong typography, visual design and brand system implementation; Illustration skills are a plus

- Strong conceptual, creative and strategic thinking, with a knack for visual storytelling.

- High level of accountability and motivation

- Strong interpersonal skills, time and project management, presentation, leadership, and communication skills

- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- Stay on top of the competitive design landscape to better understand brand objectives, target markets, and industry trends and share these insights with the team

- Track record of building and maintaining design systems for large scale product companies

Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of design leadership experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a user experience designer

- Minimum 5 years of experience managing stakeholders and senior leadership

Travel Requirement/ Shift Hours(Other special circumstances):

- Regular ongoing travel is not assumed, but may require up to 10-20% based on the specific assignment.

- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours in order to interact with global teams- i.e., this role is flexible, but it requires some flexibility as well.
