Title: Senior Manager - Data Sciences & Analytics  Bangalore, Karnataka Full-Time  Purpose :  The Senior Manager - Data Sciences & Analytics, is a key leadership role that has accountability for managing the day-to-day tactical operations and implementation of the strategic plan for the data sciences & analytics teams in Bangalore.  - This role will be responsible for delivering all statistical modeling and advanced analytics requests from all the brands - Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Henri Bendel and La Senza.  - This position will be responsible for building relevant capabilities & consistently leveraging the team to deliver actionable insights and help the organization compete on analytics.  Responsibilities :  - Deliver analytics COE services & projects from India  - Design & lead the development & deployment of solutions that leverage data sciences & advanced analytics to develop required business solutions  - Collaborate and implement the overall analytics strategy. Evaluate, recommend, implement and maintain analytical tools  - Hire, train, and supervise India based data scientists & analysts and ensure delivery of right analytical solutions to business questions.  - Identify, validate and create new opportunities/experiences through data analysis & use of advanced analytics & data sciences. Implement solutions that optimize business processes, improve our ongoing marketing and product operations, and develop new revenue drivers and cost savings.  - Analyze and model structured data using advanced statistical methods and implement algorithms an software needed to perform the analysis. Mine multiple data sets through clustering & capture thematic trends  - Engage & collaborate with business & technology partners. Communicate progress to all stakeholders  Education :  - B.S. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics  - M.S. or PH.D. in Computer Science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research, quantitative social sciences or related fields will be preferred  Skills / Experience :  - 12+ years of relevant experience in data scientist & analytics role preferably in retail domain. 5+ years in a leadership role  - Strong understanding of computer technology with strong programming skills. Expert level proficiency in R, Python, SQL.  - In-depth knowledge of statistical procedures that are applied in segmentation, profiling, and data mining.  - Track record of applying big data analysis to retail ideas. Any experience in building machine learning algorithms will be preferred  - Experience in working with large relational databases (Teradata, Oracle) & Hadoop platforms (MapR, Manta, Aster, Hortonworks & others)  - Experience in leading & mentoring a team of data scientists & building relevant capabilities  - Track record in managing deliveries of advanced analytical solutions in an agile & iterative model  - Strongly written & verbal communication skills.
