Senior Manager - Data Science - Next Generation Technologies Project - IT (6-8 yrs)
POSITION: Senior Manager - Data Science, Next Generation Technologies
JOB PURPOSE: As a Senior Manager, working on Next Generation Technologies projects, you'll be responsible for driving research & innovation initiatives end-to-end oversee the technology implementation for improving operational efficiency across the organization
JOB LOCATION: Gurgaon
POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager - IT
JOB RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Understand key business processes, operational constraints, critical bottlenecks and metrics to optimize at a detailed level, and developing data science solutions to improve the processes
- Architecting and implementing complex technology-based solutions for the business
- Evaluating technology and Data Science solution that could be used to improve business processes
- Lead/collaborate with a team of data scientists & application developers in developing and delivering machine learning models for the production setting
- Proactively problem solve to ensure business SLA's and quality standards are met, and continually identify opportunities to improve
- Proactively own and drive initiatives to improve key organizational metrics through developing data-science based solutions and collaborating with other stakeholders
- Perform data wrangling and due diligence activities on data quality
- Supervising the data acquisition & labeling process if more data is needed
- Collaborate with the Operations, Network, Control Tower and Business Analysis team to develop cutting edge analytics solutions that improve the business
- Maintain thorough and comprehensive documentation of data science initiatives
- Research industry trends & best practices, and make recommendations to the business
- Develop robust work products by following best practices through all stages of development, testing & deployment
ELIGIBILITY:
- BE/Tech in in Engineering, Masters/PhD candidates preferred
- Extensive experience working on client-facing consulting roles involving the implementation of cutting-edge technologies for businesses
- 7-10 years of experience in AI solution development and/or integration
- Expertise in one or more of any of the following cutting-edge technologies: Blockchain, Internet of Things, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Robotic Automation, Drones, Electric Vehicles, Self-Driving Cars, etc.
- Strong background in strong in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research & Statistics concepts
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine-learning approaches & deep-learning
- Experience in optimization algorithms or experience working with unstructured datasets For Natural Language Processing or Image Analytics would be preferred
- Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches for large datasets. Experience in using Big Data platforms, Spark & Hadoop platform would be preferred
- Proficient in Python & R
- Highly motivated and innovative in approach
- The candidate should have strong business acumen have a track record of driving value to the business through innovative data-science-based solutions
- An outcome-focused individual with experience working on strategic consultative data science projects
- Demonstrated ability to learn and deliver complex projects against stringent timelines
- Ability to work independently on abstract & complex problems with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively manage stakeholders
- Experience with working on a variety of data science use-cases across multiple domains
- Should be people-oriented and should have previously led teams
- Knowledge of lean six sigma, design thinking would be a plus
- Excellent understanding of statistics, probability, linear algebra and other mathematical concepts that support modern ML and AI concepts and should be able to optimize AI/ ML outcomes
- Willingness to travel to any of our network delivery centers to understand best practices or critical issues
