Senior Manager - Data Governance - BFSI

This role is an integral part of the Data & Analytics team and is responsible for defining the Data Quality Vision and create a compelling operational strategy to bring it to life. The role will own all aspects of data governance and act as a single point of contact for Data Quality for any stakeholders

The team is responsible for providing the business, both globally and locally, with the right data and insight, identifying and extracting value and ensure effective data management to execute flawless delivery and ensure data accessibility, all at the most effective and efficient cost.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Engage with local teams/business data owners to define and implement data governance principles

- Define Data quality standards and manage the implementation of such standards across platforms including RSTS and RDP

- Lead activities and Collaborate with the Finance Operations Data team and Platform Leads on data cleansing activities

- Owns all aspects of data governance and mapping including removal of duplicated data across data sets plus retention and deletion plans, working with the Business Application Owners and the Data Privacy team, with the objective of zero not-allowed, duplicated and not-owned records.

- Support the development and improvement of Data Quality KPIs and dashboards and support gap closure activities

- Contribute to the development and implementation of new Machine Learning techniques to improve data quality

- Implement & formalize the Data Stewardship Framework across the core Platforms (RSTS/RDP)

- Evangelist of Data Quality across the Organization

Requirements

- Strong affinity to data and knowledge of data quality frameworks

- Demonstrated experience working with large and often complex data, strong analytic skills and ability to evaluate and interpret trends

- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to identify innovative ways to resolve issues and improve processes.

- Influencing skills and ability to persuade business to take necessary actions to manage and improve Data Quality and ability to deliver results through others.

- Stakeholder management skills and ability to develop a network across the business and functions to drive the Data Quality vision in a virtual environment

- Able to communicate effectively in English at all levels of the organization
