Senior Manager - Data Engineering - Big Data - Retail

As a Data Engineering Senior Manager, You will have

- 12+ years of project management experience in Data Engineering/IT Application development with a 2- 6 years of experience in building data pipelines using Hadoop ecosystem

- 8-10 years of experience in building large scale applications using Teradata / Java/Python/Scala/Java Script frameworks

- Experience / Exposure to machine learning, predictive and prescriptive analytics

- Experience / Exposure to Cloud based PaaS Solutions for data engineering

- 6+ years of experience in managing teams in direct and matrix organization

- Understand business requirements, plan and execute big data projects for building enterprise data lake and large-scale advanced analytics

- Manage designated work stream to meet customer and business needs by translating business plans into tactical actionable tasks and modules

- Build accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results

- Identify and address people and process improvement opportunities

- Manage service levels and provide permanent solutions to operational support issues

- Manage the Business and technical stake holders and help business teams leverage big data in the organization

- Drive and establish standards and reusable components for data pipelines, rapid deployment of analytic components ensure compliance in terms of data security policies.

- Contribute to tool evaluations, software engineering best practices, architectural choices, Proof of Concepts and in defining target state Architecture

- Set performance goals, review performance, motivate and inspire people

- Maintain financial compliance
