A senior manager position responsible for supervising and managing the quality control function for the Credit GDC. Responsible for measuring and reporting on the accuracy and timeliness of Credit Data Processing Services including but not limited to client financial data spreading, borrowing base and covenant calculations, portfolio review/ ePRS preparation and reporting for SVB's various lines of business (e.g., Tech & HLS, Global Teams). He/she will be responsible for developing methods to track accuracy and delivery, continuously looking for areas of improvement. The person in this role will need to possess excellent leadership skills and analytic skills, have a growth mindset, and be accretive to Silicon Valley Bank's culture. He/she will report to the Head of Credit Services GDC.

This individual will lead a team of professionals dedicated to measuring and reporting on the accuracy and timeliness of the portfolio management tasks performed by the Credit Data Processing team. He/She will work closely with the Head of Credit GDC and the Director of Credit Data Processing to establish meaningful SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the portfolio management work completed by the Credit Services team. Will also work to develop effective ways of measuring these SLAs. The role involves providing oversight and guidance to team members. General operations functions may include, but are not limited to:

Quality Assurance :

- Participate in developing, testing, and optimizing the processes used to measure accuracy and efficiency of the Credit Services team. Ensure consistency and regulatory compliance, and assist in the implementation of new policies, processes and other related initiatives

- Monitor and report SLAs and KPIs for the multiple processes

- Work closely with Credit Services senior managers to identify specific errors as well as areas that may require additional remediation/ training

- Identify potential sensitive issues and escalate it to the appropriate level

- Ensure compliance with all SVB policies and procedures

- Interact with the LOB onshore counterparts for quick resolution of escalations

Business Partnering :

- Work closely with the Credit Services Senior Managers and Director- reporting on quality issues in a timely manner to ensure they are remediated. Follow up as needed for additional testing

- Undertake change management for credit services team and promote necessary culture changes (e.g., cross-skilling of resources)

Operations Delivery :

- Ensure the team delivers timely and high-quality work, as per the organization's methodology and in line with expectations

- Communicate issues with appropriate data owners. Monitor and track issues to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions are achieved Responsible for regularly reviewing work done by team members to ensure accuracy in testing methodology

- Ensure team receives and participates on ongoing training for updated processes and systems.

People Management :

- Ensure balanced allocation of work among the team members

- Mentor and manage team members to meet goals and deliver strong support to business partners

- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback and training

- Provide new team members with adequate learning opportunities

- Support training programs for the team leveraging subject matter expertise and experience

Qualifications - External :

Skills:

- Strong understanding of credit operations activities in commercial lending domain

- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills

- Ability to deliver 100% quality work

- Proven ability to set strategy, targets, and achieve desired result

- Ability to be flexible with shift timings (2 pm - 11pm)

Required Education And Experience

Education and Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce

Experience:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in credit operations

- Experience in the banking/lending industry

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience:

- Proficiency in Moody's CreditLens, nCino and other standard banking/credit tools preferred

- Experience of working in a SSC/ BPO

- Exposure to US accounting, GAAP, and IFRS
