Senior Manager - Corporate Development - Strategy & M&A Team - Consulting Firm - IIM/Ivy League (7-12 yrs)

Role : Senior Manager (Corporate Development)

Works scope : A senior role within the Strategy & M&A team, focusing on the corporate development side of the strategy domain. Responsible for scouting new opportunities including M&A, Joint venture or any other strategic relationships. Responsible for assisting the strategy head and leading strategy efforts including assessment of new opportunities, market studies, working with external tier-1 consultancies. As part of a high performing strategy team, will be responsible for leading, M&A transactions including due diligence activities across all functional areas including transaction structuring, negotiations and documentation, deal closure and post deal activities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Target screening and performing initial target due-diligence to prepare and present business case to the management

- Work with Investment Bankers to help identify potential targets and maintain a constant pipeline of potential acquisition targets

- Managing the deal execution by working with cross functional team including legal, finance, and external consultants & bankers

- Conduct business valuation, due diligence, negotiations and provide support in legal documentation

- Drive post merger integration activities to achieve the targeted quantified synergies

Desired qualifications :

- MBA from top B schools only

- Currently working with tier -1 consulting firms only at levels similar to Engagement Manager and above

- Experience working across diverse industries an advantage, with projects straddling whole gamut of consulting life-cycle

- Post MBA work experience of 7+ years
