This strategic, hands-on Contract Management Manager role is responsible for driving a key transformational initiative in the Contract Management space for the organization, including defining & running key aspects of the contract management function within the organization, establishing an effective/regular governance cadence and collaborating with the BU counterparts to institutionalize and drive value from the Contract Management function within the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop best practices for Contract Management by working closely with account & delivery organizations as well as engaging all BU stakeholders in identifying appropriate process, platform and policy interventions and create execution roadmaps as needed
- Is responsible for developing & implementing an organization-wide Contract Management program to meet the organizational objectives
- Standardized & consistent contract management methodology
- Champion process, policy changes to drive adoption through value development of Contract Management
- Spearhead initiatives to enhance awareness and conduct education / training sessions for knowledge building / sharing around Contract Management Program
- Support Statement of Work review/drafting initiative for the Contract Management Program.
- Is responsible for establishing & running organization wide Contract Management Program
- Mentor the team by establishing and defining, SoPs, SLAs, team structure and roles & responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise and act as an escalation point for members of the team for any problem solving & trouble-shooting needs
- Establish a structured mechanism for sharing insights with the business units & executive leadership
- Support counterparts within the business unit to increase awareness within the teams
- Work closely with the MDU / MU Teams, ERM and Corporate Functions
- To enhance the value proposition within the Contract Management offerings through continuous dialogue with account team members and BU leaders and by analyzing supporting data analytics
- Accept & action feedback from the business teams on the Contract Management team
- Consolidate views on key areas / building blocks which need greater executive attention / process strengthening
Skills required :
- Demonstrates strategic orientation and agility
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with team members, business units and corporate functions
- Strong Business & Financial acumen (ability to triangulate business & contracts)
- Wide base of exposure/experience across Contract Management & Shared Services environments within IT services
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and presentation skills
Qualifications (Education, Experience) :
At least 10 years of relevant global and domain expertise in a Contract Management environment for a Tier 1 IT Services firm or Fortune 500 Company
- Solid academic background with engineering or advanced degrees in law, finance or management.
- Should have deep understanding and knowledge of end-to-end Contract Management with skills in Shared Services
- Should have experience in IT Services industry
- Should have experience in establishing/running a Contract Management Shared Services
- Should have prior experience in making CXO presentations and influence executive leadership team as well as drive change management across organization
