Senior Manager - Consolidation

Position Purpose

The role will have primary responsibilities of preparation / reporting of financial statements as per IFRS and US GAAP, consolidation of financials statements, SOX compliance and analysis of the results.

The role will involve leading the group GL team and dealing with various stakeholders inc. other Group Controllers.

Job Role / Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for the GL of the Company and responsible for all aspects of finance, accounts and statutory matters, for both Indian GAAP and IND AS.

- Consolidation of the Financial Statements for all the legal entities, coordination with the statutory audit/ Tax audit/ TP audit/ Internal audit within the agreed timelines. Ensure necessary compliance and quality control over financial reporting.

- Finalize Trial balance and statutory P&L, balance sheet, cash flow for monthly reporting.

- Review of direct and indirect taxes for the company including filing monthly GST returns, GST audit and all related activities.

- Analysis of the financial results and identifying opportunities for strategic cost management.

- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies.

- Develop and implement SOPs for various business processes after aligning with the stakeholders and ensure compliances.

- Develop a comprehensive group level audit program on Finance and other SOPs.

- Drive technology projects to build tools for reporting and analysis, streamline workflows, and improve user experience

- Preparing consolidated financial statements for Group reporting under USGAAP

- Drive in implementation of SOX compliance and related reporting.

- Structuring of Intercompany arrangements and ensuring compliance to TP process.

Ideal Candidate

Experience/ Exposure

In depth knowledge and experience of converting Local GAAP Financial Statement to US GAAP; and preparing consolidated financial statements and complex accounting adjustments (such as, business combinations, leases, impairment, financial instruments etc).

- Handling overseas company compliances and intercompany transactions. 

- SOX implementation and compliance process.

- Excellent analytical and communication skills

- Strong understanding of risk and controls

- Ability to lead large teams without hierarchy, including demonstrated peer leadership

- Demonstrated process simplification/process excellence experience 

Education/ Qualification 

Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA with at least 12+ yrs of post qualification work experience Nice to Have 

- Work experience in a professional accounting firm (Big 4) or finance industry (banks or Fintechs or IBs or companies listed on NASDAQ requiring US GAAP/IFRS reporting)
