- Steel Plant Technology and market knowledge of price trend.

- Project Management and Contract finalization

- Taxation and knowledge on commercial terms and conditions

- Adept in auction strategy along with good negotiation skill.

- Knowledge on model contracts & commercial terms & conditions

- Zero Based Cost Estimate

- Manage category buy along with Planning and inventory control

- Familiar with commercial process & vendor management

- Vendor development & Vendor relationship management

Key activities:

- Understand the technical scope & project timelines and ensure no deviation in project contracting as per management norms.

- Exploring market on right vendors and also maintaining standard vendor panel for effective and competitive buying. Broad Knowledge of market place and vendor base commodity wise to ensure right vendors for effectively administering the commercial process and monitor performance to ensure delivery & quality

- Negotiation & finalisation of contract based on various levers i.e. market intelligence, industry analysis, cost model, analysis of past data, life cycle cost based buying decisions to ensure optimum cost.

- Plan and execute indents in time by interacting with various internal and external customers as well as vendor partners ensuring governance process

- Knowledge on contractual clauses, various model contracts and mode of contracting. Discuss and settle commercial terms and conditions with the vendors.

- Knowledge on taxation related to transactions and resolution of issues if any with vendor partners

- Experience on sourcing and procurement enabler technologies - SAP, IPMS, E- procurement,

- Coordination with Expediting team for on timely delivery of supplies
