Senior Manager- Business / Operational Excellence

Responsibilities:

1. Embrace and help implement a vision of continuous improvement that resonates with the entire corporation.

2. Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement comprehensive business improvement plans that support the overall business strategy.

3. Facilitate adoption, implementation and sustainability of Agile / LEAN processes, practices, principles and mindset. Lead the scaling of Agile from team level to enterprise level.

4. Act as a change agent. Provide high-touch and hands-on team guidance, support, and coaching, in close cooperation and collaboration across all roles and functions, enable project team members to learn LEAN/ Agile way of working and to achieve project goals.

5. Provide critical thinking to help teams link their strategic goals to execution plan

6. Guide and engage leaders or stakeholders by sharing observations, updates & recommendations.

7. Advise on dependency management techniques between internal teams and third parties, release managers, or between Agile/ LEAN teams

8. Lead or facilitate cross functional or program level initiatives/ events/ meetings.

9. Create an environment/ culture of Operational Excellence by making operational excellence efforts visible and well adopted. Establish forums & practices to drive alignment on Operational Excellence goals.

10. Collaborate across OPEX team and rest of teams to learn, adopt and share best practices.

11. Foster a culture of speed, innovation, client centricity and continuous improvement

12. Must be able to demonstrate project management skills while coaching and mentoring continuous improvement projects and driving Kaizen events

13. Experience in process automation and digital processes would be an added advantage

Skill Requirements:

1. Expertise - Must have a good working knowledge of LEAN & Agile

2. Servant Leader - Must be able to garner respect throughout the organization at all level and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done.

3. Curious, out of the box thinker - Must challenge status quo and grow every day. Must be able to build trust and earn respect at all levels within the company.

4. Communicative and facilitative - Must be able to communicate well with all levels of the organization from project/ Scrum team members to senior leaders. Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team in a collaborative way. Influence employees at all levels.

5. Assertive - Must be able to ensure Agile/Lean concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls. Must be able to manage conflicts.

6. Enthusiastic - Must be high-energy and inspire others.

7. Continuous Improvement/ Quick learner - Must continually be growing one's craft, learning the business, mastering new tools and techniques to manage oneself and the team.

8. Managing with Metrics - Must be able to help leaders & teams define clear metrics and coach them to have a data driven approach for decision making.

Qualifications:

1. A graduate degree is required; an MBA is preferred.

2. At least ten years of experience with a variety of roles in a large organization.

3. At least five years of experience leading and managing enterprise-wide or significant changes in operational excellence or continuous improvement positions.

4. A lean six sigma BB and /or MBB certification from an organization / institute of repute.
