Key Responsibilities Brand Equity

- Evaluate current brand equity and create improved brand architecture

- Financial management, controlling and process management of brand and products Insight Generation & Application

- Research and discover powerful consumer insights to unlock growth and inform brand strategies Brand Strategy

- Collate and analyze market trends, prepare drafts of brand plans, develop an optimal marketing mix, recommend positioning and pricing strategies, co-ordinate market research activities, and strengthen brand equity

- Monitor competitor activities, and undertake timely market interventions.

- Track all market initiatives. Document and incorporate learning. Marketing Plan

- Prepare the Marketing Plan & Media Briefs

- Co-ordinate with agencies, track media deliverables and sales volumes

- Develop the Annual Brand Plan in conjunction with the Business Head, Sales & agencies

- Work with the Marketing Head in development of cutting edge advertising strategies and campaigns Consumer Promotions

- Recommend consumer promotions schemes, prepares financial analysis, take approvals, coordinate with supply chain and sales for procurement and implementation to increase sales volumes Trade Promotions

- Plan the trade promotion scheme and key outlet scheme, prepare the financial analysis, take approvals, monitor performance of the schemes to increase width and depth of distribution

- Assist the sales team in implementing the trade promotion plans. New Product Development

- Work with R&D on product development, conduct market and feasibility studies for new products; assist the Marketing & R&D Head in conceiving new product strategies.

- Creating and executing launch and communication plans

- Seek approvals, co-ordinate with other departments on prospecting plans and post launch market support activities to ensure launch of new products

MARKETING

Experience & Qualifications

- Master's degree or MBA in Marketing discipline (2006 to 2008 pass-outs)

- 8 to 10 years of work experience as Brand Manager, during which s/he should have also had a sales stint in FMCG, Beverages, QSR or other Consumer Goods industries.

- Proven ability to implement significant change and lead innovation.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication (both written and oral), presentation, influencing and conflict management.

- The individual should also have strong process orientation & implementation skills.

- The candidate should have experience in development of integrated communication campaigns including point-of-sales & digital communication

- A good understanding of statistics, basic Finance and Accounting principles. Experience in strategic price positioning, margin management and close price co-ordination with markets, R&D and production

- Experience in active development of new business and distribution models e.g. social networks as sales channels

Reporting Relationship The role will report to Director Marketing. Scope & Expectations This position deals with high degree of complexity coupled with high growth. It involves significant travel within the country.
