Primary responsibilities and accountabilities :

Technical Competencies / Skills required :

Audit Technical skills : good knowledge of Indian auditing standards. Working knowledge of ISA's an advantage.

Accounting Standards :

- Good working knowledge of Indian GAAP and financial performance and measurement concepts. Working knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP an advantage.

Coaching skills : able to coach and supervise junior team members and give feedback.

Project Management skills :

- Able to run multiple (5-6) engagements and team members simultaneously and should also collaborate with the onshore engagement team to identify critical project outcomes, work products, barriers to success, and changes in expectations or scope.

Communication skills :

- Builds relationships with on-site and overseas colleagues, explains issues clearly, escalate and resolve problems appropriately.

Team player :

- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism toward work challenges

Job Specification :

Experience :

- 1-3 years For Seniors level of post-qualification experience from midsized to Big 4 audit background

- 3-5 years For AM Level of post-qualification experience from midsized to Big 4 audit background

- BPO finance environment.

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA (US) or ACCA (UK).

- 3-5 years (post qualification) in relevant experience including at least one year of experience in Financial Accounting and Advisory

- 7- 10 years of post- qualification experience in auditing or finance controllership roles, including at least 2 years of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience.

- Expert knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and Indian accounting standards

- Good understanding of IND AS / IFRS / US,UK or IGAAP

- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills

- Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies

- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary

- Working experience in relation to the following services/solutions (at least three):

- GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards.

- Drafting and designing accounting policies

- Technical accounting research and advice

- Consolidation and Compilation support

- Financial statement close process support

- Transaction accounting and reporting - IPO's, Carve Outs, PPA etc.

- Benchmarking services and market analysis
